    • Purchased land in Overton Co, TN as early as 1811 on the same day as his friend Thomas Arnett. He sold land in 1818. It is believed he and his family to have moved to Morgan Co, IL with his good friend Thomas Arnett. Both returned with families before 1836. John again purchased land in Overton Co, TN. John's children were named in an application for Indian Land in 1909.
