  • Name Samuel Yocum DENNIS
    • Not sure how Lafayette became attached to this Samuel Dennis. I (Carl Dennis) cannot find a Samuel Yocum Lafayette Dennis anywhere in the census records or land records of Kentucky. Everything shows only Samuel Y or Samuel Yocum Dennis.

There are other Lafayette's in our Dennis line but birth dates make them a difficult fit into this position.

  • Notes
    • Has many land grant records listed in the book "Kentucky Land Grants. Source - Kenneth R. PERGREM.

NOTE: the last three children were not named in the flooding land deal. Could it because they are minors and thus represented by there mother.?

    • This DNA line claims to connect to the two Samuels (jr. and Sr.) of Floyd Co., KY. through a 3rd younger Samuel L Dennis, b 1789. However researchers on the KY lines have provided information about this "Samuel L." I only have three desendants for Samuel Jr. with two of those males: Mathias b. 1798 and John Y (Yocum). b. 1801 .
